Action Speaks louder than words! “Give the gift of life – Donate Blood”
Donating Blood is the best type of donation one can make for the benefit of the society which costs nothing but is far more valuable than anything else. We at GLBIMR have always promoted a number of social causes, which aim at the welfare of society. Corporate Interface Series: PHD Chamber Of Commerce
Under the radical guidance of our Director General Dr. Urvashi Makkar and with the dedicated objective to provide utmost corporate exposure to students, GLBIMR took an initiative to provide pre-eminent Industry exposure to PGDM second year students. The PGDM students got an excellent opportunity to attend an International seminar on “Mainstreaming the Marginalised” at PHD House, New Delhi on July 20, 2016.
The seminar facilitated the collaboration between the Industry, Government and Civil Society in realizing our Prime Minister’s dream- “Sabka Sath Sabka Vikas”. Financial Inclusion, Digital Inclusion and Livelihood Inclusion can foster structural reforms and open up the economy. Undoubtedly, this can be realized only when Corporate, Government and Civil Society work in tandem. The main aim of the seminar was to provide all stakeholders a common platform to discuss collaborative models towards contribution in skilling India for Global Competitiveness. The challenges and workable solutions were discussed in the seminar. The Seminar concluded with interactive “question and answer” session, various relative queries and concerns were raised by the students on the current policies and initiatives undertaken by the government on Industrial relations & sustainable economic development strategies followed by Government.
Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General shared that these types of opportunities are integral part of Management Education and help PGDM students to learn about the new trends and developments of the society and government.Overall the visit was very beneficial and knowledgeable.
It gives me a sense of pride and honour to share that I have become a member of GLBIMR family. Today I feel elated & excited to get this wonderful platform to share my experiences regarding the past three days in this prestigious institute. First of all I would like to say that it would have been impossible for me to stand here and utter a single word until and unless I had attended the Induction Programme. The Induction programme gave me the confidence to come up & speak. Although it was a knowledge sharing session but for me it turned out to be “character building” session. I feel very much blessed and fortunate to be here as we got the opportunity to listen to eminent speakers like Mr.Binod Kumar, Mr.Sudhir Zutshi , Mr.V.K.Bansal , Mr Rohit Gandotra our senior alumni and our very own Director General madam. These three days will be a part of my memory lane forever. I would like to thank our DG Ma’am, Faculty Members for sharing their knowledge and our seniors for managing this great event with so much enthusiasm and dedication.
