Corporate Interface Series – GLBIMR PGDM students attended “Talk Session” at AIMA
Under the radical guidance of our Director General Dr. Urvashi Makkar, GLBIMR makes another endeavour to provide preeminent Industry exposure to PGDM students. Our PGDM first year students have been given an exceptional opportunity to attend a Talk Session on “Leadership by Proxy: The story of women in Corporate India” at AIMA, New Delhi on July 22, 2016.
The theme of the session was “Women Empowerment in India”. Ms. Poonam Barua, Founder Chairman, WILL Forum India highlighted success stories of women, who have driven the growth of India and to discuss how women can lead from the front.The talk revolved around leadership qualities of women and its implication in the corporate arena.
Ms Barua encouraged the audience to be ‘focused’ and “committed to learn”. The tasks assigned to them should be done with conviction, passion and dedication. The session also focused on balanced leadership for Good Governance, Global Mindsets & Inclusive Growth. The session concluded by students asking questions like how to create a right approach to build confidence, traits of leadership and what are the best practices for a women in the workplace . It was an incredible exposure and experience provided by the institute to the first year PGDM students
