Highlights of Day III (Session-2) of Induction Program 2017
One week long Induction Program for PGDM Batch 2017-2019 has been organized at GLBIMR, on the theme – Corporate Expectations & Insights for Aspiring Managers”. The Induction program, which commenced on July 10, 2017, is continuously receiving an overwhelming response from the new entrants in the field of management studies, faculty members, eminent guests and media patrons. The Third day of the Induction program was very lively, highly energetic, intensely informative &vastly interactive. The induction program session began with lighting the ceremonial lamp by, Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR along with the eminent guests and student from PGDM Batch 2017-19.
Esteemed Director General of GLBIMR, Dr. Urvashi Makkar emphasized the importance of becoming a good HR Professionals by acquiring the capability of learning new things and unlearning the not applicable ones. Mr. Rajiv Sahdev, Group President, JBM gave 10 lessons to the budding managers about how they can fulfill corporate expectations. He talked about the importance of understanding the context and business of the organization. Mr. Pramod Joshi, Co founder and Director, “The winning Mantra discussed with students the different layers of knowledge, soft skills,creativity and innovation to be built in their PGDM Program of 2 years. Mr. Amit Bansal, DGM-HR, Future Group talked about the importance of PGDM Course as a bridge to fulfill the connecting gap between business requirement and skills to be learnt by the students along with the values and ethics to be followed essentially.
Students poured in lots many questions, that were gracefully answered by all the panel members & Dr. Urvashi Makkar. While the day ended with much enthusiasm & content, eagerness could be seen among the students.
