Director General, GLBIMR at the AICTE Technical Leadership Program

With great pride, we share that recently, Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR participated in the UK-India Education & Research Initiative (UKIERI)’s “Technical Leadership Program”, in collaboration with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), from July 31- Aug 02, 2017 at C.V. Raman College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar. The Program, which was inaugurated by Prof. Anil Dattatraya Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE, proved to be a huge learning & networking platform.

UKIERI aims at enhancing educational links between India and the UK. It has been recognized as a key multi stakeholder program that has strengthened the educational relations between the two countries and been successful in covering all segments of the education sector. AICTE has tied up with Dudley College, UK to impart this training which was moderated by Dr. Lowell Williams, Principal, Dudley College, UK and his able team from Dudley college,UK.

More than 100 delegates; Directors and principals from across 24 Indian states representing polytechnics, management institutes, engineering colleges and other institutions of AICTE, participated in the coveted program. The program was aimed at providing an overview of the key leadership and management challenges faced by educational practitioners today, with a focus on the application of effective leadership and management techniques and their beneficial impact on departmental and institutional performance.

Participation in such elite program by AICTE is indeed a matter of honour & pride for GLBIMR.
