Panel Discussion on “Role of Youth in Nation Building” by Dakshina Foundation
A Panel Discussion on Role of Youth in Nation Building was organized by Dakshina Foundation on January 10, 2018 at PGDAV College, Delhi. The event was organized under the astute leadership of Ms. Upasana Agarwal, Founder Director, Dakshina Foundation and Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR, who is also the Co-Director of the Foundation. Dakshina Foundation is a group of dedicated individuals from the diverse diaspora, working towards giving back to the society. Their focus is to create awakening amongst the youth of country and make them realise their responsibilities towards the nation.
During her address, Dr. Makkar shared that since the youth of a nation shapes and moulds its present and paves the way for its future, this panel discussion is hugely relevant. The young generation shoulders a huge segment of the responsibility of nation building; not the politicians or the policy makers alone. The chief Guest of the panel discussion was Dr. R. K. Khandal, President R&D and Business Development, India Glycols Limited and the Key Note Speaker was Dr. Sanjay Shrivastava, Vice Chancellor, Manav Rachna University, The event was graced by the presence of Dr. R.K. Gupta, Principal, PGDAV College, Ms. Kavita Dasan, Vice President, Talent Management, DHFL and Mr. Kamalendu Bali, Senior Director- Solutions, Concentrix, Dr. Pushplata Tripathi, Pro Vice Chancellor, GGSIPU, Ms. Anjali Sharma, Ms. Aishwarya Bhati, Ms Savita Rai, Ms. Sharda Gupta, Ms. Gauri Shankar, Ms. Seema Gupta, Ms. Geeta Bhatt, Ms. Naina Hasija, Ms. Sandhya Garg and many more senior business leaders from Corporate, Academia, Social & Political sector, etc along with young participants from NCR. All the panelists presented their view points and had a constructive discussion regarding the topic, which proved to be highly relevant for everyone present.
