GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida organized an event to celebrate ‘The Completion of 1st Indo-Kyrgyz Film White Honey and Successful One Year Run of 69 Opposites Attract’ on Friday, January 24, 2020 in PGDM Auditorium, GLBIMR campus under the visionary leadership of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions and Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR.
The event started with lighting of ceremonial lamp and invocation of Goddess Saraswati. Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR welcomed the guests by presenting sapling as a token of greeting and expressed his views on the relevance of Indo-Kyrgyzstan ties. The session witnessed enriching and enlightening session by His Excellency, Asein Isaev, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan and Mr. Amit R Agarwal, International Filmmaker.
The session was organized to impart better understanding among the students about the opportunities in television and film industry and provided rich insights about what it takes to break into the cinematic world by outlining the different educational paths available.
The guests also emphasized that the preferred skills like team ability, responsibility, excellent communication, administrative skills, stamina and great visual sense in film making are required in an individual who wants to enter the television and film industry.
His Excellency proposed to start an International Exchange Program which would be beneficial for the students to develop a global perspective. The students will be provided with an opportunity to study in Kyrgyzstan and experiencing the history and culture as well as meeting new friends to enrich their personal development.
As per the given guidelines by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida observed Vigilance Awareness Week from October 28, 2019 to November 02, 2019 on the theme “INTEGRITY – A WAY OF LIFE”. On November 01, 2019, Friday, Slogan Making Competition on the theme ‘Integrity – A Way Of Life’ was organized in which Ms. Nisha, Ms. Monica and Ms. Asrita were declared First, Second & Third respectively and were felicitated with certificates. A Debate Competition on the topic ‘Can India Be Corruption Free’ was also organized in which Mr. Alok Kumar & Ms. Swati Pandey, Mr. Jatin & Ms. Mrinal and Mr. Mayank Dixit & Ms. Shalini Shishodia were declared First, Second & Third respectively and were felicitated with certificates. GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida organized “Wealth Maximization Competition” by “Number Crunchers – The Finance Club” on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at GLBIMR, Greater Noida campus under the visionary guidance of Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR with the objective to sensitize the students about the online share trading for wealth maximization. This session was organized to make the students aware of the rules, regulations and trading process of MoneyBhai (Virtual online stock trading platform). Prof. Dr. Anand Rai also explained the basic terminology of stock trading along with tips and tricks for wealth maximization to the students of PGDM Batch 2019-21.
“The Technovation Club” at GLBIMR organized “TeXplore” on August 09, 2019
With the aim to enhance the imaginative and creative instinct among the students and inspire the students to be innovative along with learning the latest trends in technology disruption, GLBIMR’s Technovation club organized “TeXplore” on August 09, 2019 , under the guidance of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions and Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR wherein 15 Teams comprising of 54 students participated in the Technology Quiz. The final round was an extempore on technology related topic where many innovative deliberations were made.
The activity enhanced the knowledge regarding the technology and new innovations happening in the world along with developing overall confidence of the students to face a large audience. To involve the audience few questions on Latest Technology and Innovations were asked and surprise gifts were distributed. The evaluation criteria adopted were Quality of Content, Conviction, Articulation and Collaboration as a team.

Four Days Skill Development Programme in association with Rubicon’s “Connect with Work” Program, supported by Barclays
Four Days Skill Development Programme was organized by GLBIMR from 29th July to 1st august 2019, in association with Rubicon “Connect with Work” Program, supported by Barclays to impart various life changing skills for increasing the employability skills of the students. These sessions were a part of official partnerships established between GLBIMR and Rubicon Skill Development Pvt Ltd on July 18, 2019 to train students under Rubicon’s “Connect with Work” under the visionary guidance of Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR. The training programme was conducted by the eminent trainers like Mr. Varun khanna , Mr. Prayag Malhotra , Mr. Mohit Singh, Mr. Sandeep Ahulawalia and Mr. Vidit Chaudhary were part of the four days sessions. The training methodology was followed with a brief introduction about the topic followed by practical activity to drive the points covered on each topic in the minds of all the participants. The sessions refined the Public speaking, presentation skills, E-mail Etiquette, Grooming and Group Discussion skills of the students. It will help them to take the first step into corporate & It will also going to increase their chances to get succeed in the job interview as well as to achieve heights in the career ladder. These sessions had taught them that an error doesn’t become a mistake until we refuse to correct it. The sessions concluded with feedback from students and Certificate distribution to the students on the successful completion of 24hours of training.

Special Session on Awareness about Sexual Harassment at Workplace on March 05, 2019
In order to generate awareness among the youth about the concerns they may face at workplace both during summer internship and final placement, GLBIMR organized Special Session on Awareness about Sexual Harassment at Workplace on March 05, 2019 under the guidance of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR. The key areas and concerns were discussed by Ms. Arpana Kumari, Faculty, GLBIMR to enhance the sensitivity and acknowledgment of challenges at workplace.
Ms. Arpana Kumari highlighted the difference between Harassment and Sexual Harassment. She also discussed on 7 issues at workplace namely Complexity and Consequences of Sexual Harassment at Workplace, Purpose of the workplace, Gender Sensitivity, Relevance of a Free and Fair Workplace Environment, Safe and Zero Tolerance Zone and Law and its interpretation.
This session was an excellent platform to understand the different dimensions of Sexual Harassment at workplace that one should know and its practicality. The event was enriching experience for the students as well for the faculty members.
“Treasure Hunt” by GLBIMR’s E-cell Flying Minds on April 05, 2019 at its Greater Noida Campus.
To provide constant impetus to students to think, be creative and solve problems, GLBIMR’s E-cell Flying Minds organized another event “Treasure Hunt” for PGDM students, under the visionary guidance of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR on April 05, 2019 at its Greater Noida Campus.
The objective of the activity was to improve communication, interaction, team building and leadership skills, to sharpen navigational skills, taking responsibility and promote social interaction among the students and to help them to exercise their minds by reinforcing problem-solving skills, creativity and thinking ‘outside the box’.
The game involved series of clues (in a folded paper), one leading to next. The clues were in the form of riddle, scrabble and crossword. Cracking of each clue was associated with collection of specified item. Thereafter the team had to submit the collected item to a specified location and collect coins. Teams were not allowed to skip any clue or guess for reaching the final destination. This entire series of processes, clues and problem solving helped the students remain engrossed while trying to reach the destinations as quickly as possible.
14 teams comprising of 10 students each participated with full enthusiasm and energy. the winning teams were:

Movie Premiere of “The Pursuit of Happyness” @ GLBIMR on April 02, 2019
Continuing with the ongoing efforts to impart holistic exposure to the students, E-Cell Flying Minds at GLBIMR, organised the Movie Premiere of “The Pursuit of Happyness” for PGDM 2018-20 Batch on April 02, 2019. The objective of themovie was to instill the ability to accept struggle in life and still have the courage to overcome the challenges. It also helped students to believe in having hope for future while building meaningful and true relationships.
Dr. Urvashi Makkar during her address, shared that the movie discusses the deeply flawed, three-dimensional characters, whose key moments of achievement, betrayal, and illuminating realization might remind them of their own potential and weaknesses. She also highlighted that the core essence of the movie is to define one’s source of happiness and give 100% in the pursuit of achieving that happiness in life. The main learning of the movie also was to help students believe in themselves and develop entrepreneurial spirit for pursuing their dreams.
The movie shed light on the little practical lessons of life and helped the students in taking cautionary lessons represented in the movie. This movie premier helped students to realize power of dreaming which is very important for being an entrepreneur. Themovie was thoroughly enjoyed by the students and were thrilled towards the end.
