International Yoga Day Celebrated at GLBIMR,Greater Noida Campus on June 21, 2019

GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research (GLBIMR), Greater Noida celebrated International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2019 by organizing a yoga session at its campus. The session was taken up by Ms. Bhanu Priya, renowned yoga expert. She shared the importance & relevance of Yoga Sadhna & Yog Mudras and demonstrated various yoga Aasana’s to the Students, Faculty & Staff members of GLBIMR. Dr. Kirti Dutta, Dean, GLBIMR in her speech reinforced the words of Honorable Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi i.e. “Yoga not only focuses on fitness but on wellness of the body”. She shared that Yoga can be of great help to fight corporate pressure and to de-stress which will help them in building a holistic personality.

This session sensitized students, faculty and staff members about the importance of yoga and to participate in this unique collective Yoga experience – with hundreds of people in the same movement, the same respiration, at the same time and in the same rhythm.

To provide a multi-faceted platform to the new batch at the commencement of their intellectual journey; GLBIMR is organizing five days extensive Induction Program from July 08 – 12, 2019 on theme – “Corporate Expectations & Insights for Aspiring Managers”. The event would be graced by Eminent Speakers from the Corporate World. The program would include a variety of activities such as Team-Building Exercises, Workshops and Informative Discussions.

The 2 years Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) is designed for holistic development of students making them not only career oriented but also employable for various roles and responsibilities. Achieving academic excellence integrated with skill enhancement is the core focus of the Institute.

On December 11 in 2014, The United Nations General Assembly declared June 21 as the International day of Yoga. Yoga is an ancient physical, mental and spiritual practice that originated in India. The word ‘yoga’ derives from Sanskrit and means to join or to unite, symbolizing the union of body and consciousness. The theme for 2019 International Yoga Day as given by UN is “Climate Action” where each member of the universe has to come forward for making their contribution. Considering the importance of this event, GLBIMR will be observing International Yoga Day on June 21, 2019 (Friday) and is organizing a special Yoga session for its Students, Faculty and Staff members.

This session aims to sensitize students, faculty and staff members about the importance of yoga and to participate in this unique collective Yoga experience – with thousands of people in the same movement, the same respiration, at the same time and in the same rhythm.glbimr

Participative Learning Program (PLP) organized @ GLBIMR

With the vision to create knowledge sharing platform among faculty and staff members through peer learning from diverse areas of management and research, GLBIMR organized “Participative Learning Program (PLP)” at its Greater Noida Campus. The session was conducted on May 10, 2019 by Dr. Alpana Agarwal, Assistant Professor , GLBIMR on Interpretive Structural Modelling Technique.

The key highlights of the session was to analyse the key factors behind the successful implementation of world-class manufacturing practices .CSFs and performance areas were identified through literature review and opinion of experts from industry and academia. Interpretive structural modelling (ISM) is used to develop a hierarchical structure for analysing the interactions among CSFs. Interpretive ranking process (IRP) is then used to examine the dominance relationship. More PLP’s will be organized in the coming months as such interactive sessions help in broadening the horizon of academic fraternity to deliver their best to the students along with their own development.

International Trip to Dubai for meritorious students of PGDM Batch 2017-19 students from June 14- June 18, 2019

In its endeavors to provide world class exposure to its students, GLBIMR organized an International trip to Dubai, UAE under the visionary guidance of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal,Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions for the meritorious students of PGDM Batch 2017-19. Eight students qualified on merit basis for this wonderful opportunity. Upanshi Mittal, Alok Kumar, Ranu Singh, Ashish Sharma, Vaibhav Saxena, Divyanshu Agarwal, Surabhi Bansal and Aman Kumar Verma went to explore the land of sand along with Ms. Radhika Malhotra of GLBIMR.

The tour provided global awareness and exposure to students as a management graduate. The carefully designed package and itinerary understood the importance of leisure, relaxation, and enjoyment. GLBIMR students had an awesome time at Ski Dubai Emeritus Mall, Fish Aquarium, Desert safari, Zumeira Beach, ride in Driverless Monotrain. The quad biking session on sand dunes, was one of the most exciting activity for the students. The most important attraction was the visit to Burj Khalifa -World’s tallest building. Burj Khalifa is an unprecedented example of international cooperation, symbolic beacon of progress, and an emblem of the new, dynamic and prosperous Middle East and standing at 124th Floor was an incomparable experience for all the students.

The trip has been instrumental for students to gain a broader view of the world and widen their perspectives in different aspects of their life.
