The Human Resource Club – “Affinity” of GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida organized a “Debate Competition” on the theme “Is Social Sensitivity Diminishing in Human Personality?” on Thursday, November 07, 2019 in PGDM Auditorium for the students of PGDM Batch 2019-21. The objective of the debate competition was to enhance students intellectual ability, reasoning ability, quick thinking and confidence in putting their views on a topic. Through this competition, the students got the required exposure which would widen their perception and sharpen their critical and analytical thinking skills. The students participated in 2 teams – one ‘for’ and one ‘against’ the topic. Dr. Anu Thakur and Dr. Rajeev Mathew judged the participants on the basis of clarity of thoughts, use of arguments, use of examples, facts and communication skills. Best Team Award ‘For’ and ‘Against’ category was bagged by Ms. Sonal Pandey & Ms. Jahanvi. Ms. Pratiksha Bisht bagged First position in ‘For’ category and Mr. Alok & Ms. Soni won First position in ‘Against’ category.The event was coordinated by faculty coordinators – Prof. Dr. Alpana Agarwal and Prof. Arpana Kumari along with student coordinators – Ms. Sameeksha, Mr. Satyam Srivastav & Ms. Sakshi Singh.
GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida organized a special session on “Investor Awareness Program: Money Management” on Friday, November 08, 2019 in PGDM Seminar Hall under the visionary guidance of Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR for the students of PGDM Batch 2019-21. The expert trainers for the event were Ms. Urvi Agarwal & CA Ankur Agarwal, SV Wealth Partners. Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR discussed the importance of personal wealth management and investment for corporate as well as individuals. The objective of the session was to create financial awareness and empower the attendees to help manage money more effectively to achieve financial well being by ensuring access to appropriate financial products and services. In the session, Ms. Urvi Agarwal stated the fundamental issues related to investment and discussed about various investments, mergers in Indian companies, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Mutual Funds, Foreign Direct Investments, Stock Exchanges, Case Studies and corporate activities related to investment and money management.CA Ankur Agarwal discussed issues related to taxation and legal aspects of trading. He also elaborated about the personal finance and investor grievances management mechanism. The students asked their queries with the experts which enhanced their knowledge about money management.

GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida organized Microsoft Value Added Certification Course on Advance MS Excel by Mr. Bhanu P Singh, Director, Corporate Trainer & Management Consultant & Mr. Ajay Pandeya, Corporate Trainer from October 14 to October 25, 2019 in PGDM Auditorium, GLBIMR, Greater Noida campus. This Value Added Certification Course was intended to instill professional skills and abilities in students to work with MS Excel applications and tools which would make them industry ready and gain a competitive edge over other competitors in the market. GLBIMR students were really fortunate to get an opportunity to learn from the industry experts. They worked diligently to make the students aware about the various functional concepts of MS Excel. They learned each and every concept in an easy way with the help of the detailed study material provided to them. They were also able to learn the practical application of each and every tool in the current industry scenario. Overall, it was an enriching and a great learning experience for GLBIMR students.
GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida celebrated Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) on Thursday, October 31, 2019 in GLBIMR campus to commemorate the 144th birth anniversary of Iron Man of India Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel who had played a significant role in unifying our country. The observance of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas (National Unity Day) provides an opportunity to re-affirm inherent strength and resilience of our nation to withstand the potential threats to unity, integrity and security of our country. To solidify the bond of oneness and unification, the unity pledge was undertaken by all the students, faculty and staff members of GLBIMR.

On November 01, 2019, Friday, Slogan Making Competition on the theme ‘Integrity – A Way Of Life’ was organized in which Ms. Nisha, Ms. Monica and Ms. Asrita were declared First, Second & Third respectively and were felicitated with certificates. Under this, Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) initiated the concept of “Integrity Pledge” which was undertaken by all the students, faculty and staff members of GLBIMR on Thursday, October 31, 2019 with an aim to promote integrity and to eliminate corruption.
Research & Development Cell of GL Bajaj Institute of Management and Research, Greater Noida organized a workshop on “Literature Search and Reference Management” on Friday, October 18, 2019 in PGDM Auditorium, GLBIMR, Greater Noida campus for the students of PGDM Batch 2018-20. The Expert Resource person for the workshop was Prof. (Dr.) Harsh Pratap Singh, GLBIMR. He conducted hands-on learning sessions to equip the participants with basic & advance skills using Literature Search and Reference Management to produce quality research. The program enabled the participants in identifying and using the right research tools for literature review. Students were also trained for using Mendley for easy and fast literature review and reference management. This initiative will surely be beneficial to the students in doing their dissertation and in future also.
