GL Bajaj Institute of Management and Research, Greater Noida firmly believes that students could acquire professional skills and gather learning’s from the experiences of the experts, who are holding pinnacle positions in different areas of professional life. Keeping this objective in mind, GLBIMR under the erudite leadership of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General; GLBIMR had taken a new initiative to host a Panel Discussion on the theme “Our Life Experiences”, under which veterans and professionals from varied social spheres were invited to share their life experiences. The Panel discussion on “Our Life Experiences” was organized on July 20, 2018 at GLBIMR, Greater Noida campus, where The Chief Guest of the event was Dr. K L Johar, Former Vice Chancellor, GJ University, Hissar. The other eminent dignitaries who joined Panel Discussion were Mr. Ved Prakash Makkar, Former General Manager, State Electricity Board, Mr. VK Bansal, former Vice- President, Sri Ram Group, Prof. Nirmal Bhatnagar, Dean, JIMS and Ms. Pammi Talwar, a renowned Corporate Trainer & Life Skill Expert. The eminent panelists shared their real time example of how dreams can be achieved by hard work, dedication and passion.
Dr. Makkar shared that this Panel Discussion will help the students in learning varid life skills from the experiences of the renowned and established personalities. She highlighted the quote from Sri. Swami Vivekananda,” If you stop learning today, you will stop leading tomorrow” and advised students to follow the quote throughout their career span. The Chief Guest, Dr. KL Johar shared his life experiences and discussed the hurdles he faced in his career path which motivated the students and also helped them to gain insights into the challenges of life. Dr. K L Johar shared with students, his journey from being a student to becoming the Vice Chancellor. He suggested that students should never stop learning, as learning is the only concept that will help them to achieve their goals. He advised students to remain motivated, innovative, strong and choose the path which is less travelled in order to succeed in every sphere of life. Prof. Nirmal Bhatnagar urged students not to cross bridges before they come. She advised students to remain focused on their goals and to face their fears in order to succeed in their life. Mr. Ved Prakash shared the essence of dedication, hardwork and positive thinking with the students. He highlighted that in order to overcome all the hurdles of life one should remain focused and dedicated towards the work. Mr. VK Bansal shared the importance or organized life and advised students to learn from their mistakes. Ms. Pammi Talwar guided the students to remain confident while facing the hardships of life and also counsel them to nurture their talent.
The Panel discussion was highly interactive and the life experiences shared by august panelists gave insightful learning to the students which motivated them to face hardships and challenges of life.
