E-Cell – Flying Minds Inauguration on January 17, 2018 @ GLBIMR

GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research (GLBIMR), Greater Noida launched E-Cell (Entrepreneurship Development Cell) – Flying Minds, dedicated to promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship among students. Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice-Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions inaugurated the E-Cell – Flying Minds on January 17, 2018 along with Dr.Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR, Dr. Vinod Shashtri, Head Academics, Centre for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Bennett University, Mr. R.K. Chandra, Advisor & Program Director, NIESBUD, Mr. Sanjeev Gupta, Consultant, Loyalty & Cashback Solutions and Mr. Chandrashekhar Singh, Founder & CEO,, in presence of all faculty , staff and students.

Mr. Pankaj Agarwal shared that, our vision is to develop, sustain and deliver the Entrepreneurship spirit among students in their quest to achieve success in establishing their venture at all junctures. Dr. Urvashi Makkar shared that this E-Cell will be primarily responsible for fostering entrepreneurship amongst students and assisting budding entrepreneurs by providing them with necessary resources. E-Cell will also encourage students to come up with their business ideas and take initiatives to give a concrete platform to them to showcase their entrepreneurial talent.

Panel Discussion on “Role of Youth in Nation Building” by Dakshina Foundation
A Panel Discussion on Role of Youth in Nation Building was organized by Dakshina Foundation on January 10, 2018 at PGDAV College, Delhi. The event was organized under the astute leadership of Ms. Upasana Agarwal, Founder Director, Dakshina Foundation and Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR, who is also the Co-Director of the Foundation. Dakshina Foundation is a group of dedicated individuals from the diverse diaspora, working towards giving back to the society. Their focus is to create awakening amongst the youth of country and make them realise their responsibilities towards the nation.
During her address, Dr. Makkar shared that since the youth of a nation shapes and moulds its present and paves the way for its future, this panel discussion is hugely relevant. The young generation shoulders a huge segment of the responsibility of nation building; not the politicians or the policy makers alone. The chief Guest of the panel discussion was Dr. R. K. Khandal, President R&D and Business Development, India Glycols Limited and the Key Note Speaker was Dr. Sanjay Shrivastava, Vice Chancellor, Manav Rachna University, The event was graced by the presence of Dr. R.K. Gupta, Principal, PGDAV College, Ms. Kavita Dasan, Vice President, Talent Management, DHFL and Mr. Kamalendu Bali, Senior Director- Solutions, Concentrix, Dr. Pushplata Tripathi, Pro Vice Chancellor, GGSIPU, Ms. Anjali Sharma, Ms. Aishwarya Bhati, Ms Savita Rai, Ms. Sharda Gupta, Ms. Gauri Shankar, Ms. Seema Gupta, Ms. Geeta Bhatt, Ms. Naina Hasija, Ms. Sandhya Garg and many more senior business leaders from Corporate, Academia, Social & Political sector, etc along with young participants from NCR. 8th Management Development Program on “Leadership Excellence: The Secret to Creating High Performance Teams” on January 05, 2018

GLBIMR organized 8th Management Development Program on “Leadership Excellence: The Secret to Creating High Performance Teams” on January 05, 2018 at its Greater Noida Campus, to make the participants learn, develop, and practice skills needed to succeed in their current and future leadership roles. This initiative was taken by the institute under the visionary guidance of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR. The Chief Guest of the event was Mr. Jasbir Singh Kaushal, Managing Director, Central Warehousing Corporation while Rajeev Vadakkepat, National Competency Manager, Nestle India Ltd and Ms. Deeksha Gupta, Talent Partner, Adobe were the Key Resource Persons .The event witnessed participation of more than 100 delegates from various corporate houses, academia and research scholars.
Dr. Makkar, Director General shared that this MDP will help participants developing their leadership potential and skills along with team building skills in pursuit of achieving organizational goals. Mr. Jasbir Singh Kaushal highlighted that to stay and excel in the race of stiff competition, organizations need leaders who can set vision for the organizations and transform it by creating high performance teams. Rajeev Vadakkepat and Deeksha Gupta, Key Resource Persons delivered knowledge on Conceptual framework of Leadership Excellence, Discovering your Leadership Style, Building Effective High Performing and Learning Teams in Organizations, Communication, Conflict Resolution and Decision making in Teams, Building Team Cohesion with Leadership and Emotional intelligence, Leadership Competencies for developing High Performance Work Teams , Challenges of Global Leadership and Co-operative, Competitive and Collaborative approaches in Team working.
The session was interactive and involved brainstorming activities among the participants and trainer. All the delegates were conferred with Participation Certificate. The event was extremely successful.

GLBIMR Students of PGDM Batch 2017–19 participated in the National Competition Innovations 2 Startup @ 2017 of Rural and Swadeshi Startup MEET, organized by Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, IIT Delhi and Swadeshi Jagaran Manch on December 02, 2017 at IIT Delhi.

With great pride, we share that Anjali Jha and Udit Saxena of PGDM Batch 2017-19, qualified under “Category 2- Startups in Idea stage, wherein they presented their respective business ideas.

The Startup Meet also hosted knowledge sharing sessions by eminent speakers like Smt. Meenakshi Lekhi – Member of Parliament, Sh. Manish Kumar – CEO, National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Prof. Bhagwati Prasad – VC, Pecific University, Udaipur, India & National Co-Convener, Swadeshi Jagran Manch, Prof. Yogesh Singh – VC, Delhi Technological University, India, Prof. Virender Vijay – Center for Rural Development & Technology, IIT Delhi, Dr. Anil Wali – MD, Foundation For Innovation And Technology Transfer, IIT Delhi, Prof. Rajendra Prasad – Unnat Bharat Abhiyan, IIT Delhi, Sh. GLBIMR aims not only for academic excellence, but for holistic development of students making them career oriented, employable and future ready for various roles and responsibilities. With the aim to provide an extra edge over academic curriculum, GLBIMR under the leadership of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR; organized multiple activities during the month of October 2017, to provide comprehensive augmentation and corporate exposure to its students and faculty members. A 30 Hour Certification Program “Placement Readiness Enhancement Programme” (PREP) was organized , which was specially designed for learning Personality Mapping, Corporate Etiquette, Personal Grooming, Group Discussions, Resume Writing and Interview Handling skills. GLBIMR organized 24 Hours Certification Program on “Professional Excellence for Corporate Readiness” (PECR) Certification Program with the focus to create corporate ready professionals. To focus on collaborative learning, Participative Learning Program (PLP) was organized to create knowledge sharing platform among faculty and staff members. GLBIMR organized 5th MDP on “Talent Management- A Heart of Transcendence in Knowledge Economy” to disseminate the intellectual knowledge and provide platform for industry and academia of management professionals. The month of October 2017 was full of learning and knowledge sharing for all.
