Live Project Experience in Outlook Group by GLBIMR Students

In the constant efforts to provide real and practical exposure of corporate working to the students, GLBIMR facilitated 22 students of PGDM 2018-20 Batch to undertake Live Project with Outlook Group in the capacity of Marketing Professionals for 15 days. The students through direct mentoring and field based learning, gained immense knowledge about the Selling process, Customer acquisition and handling, CRM software, Negotiation and Persuasion skills and also Business Development.

All the students worked enthusiastically with their industry mentors and also received Certificates for completion of the Live Project training. Many students have got summer internship opportunity with Outlook Group based on their performance that will develop them further for managerial responsibilities.

GLBIMR Human Resource Club Organized “Debate competition” on April 10, 2019

GLBIMR, in its continuous endeavor to give 360 degree holistic development to its PGDM students, Organized “Debate competition” as part of Human Resource Club on April 10, 2019.

“Debate competition” was a structured contest that provided students a striking opportunity to voice their views on the topic”Are Women in India really Empowered”. The competition involved two parties, one for the topic and one against the topic. Other than the participants who are already actively involved in Club activities, this Debate competition was specifically planned for the students who are although eager to come on stage and showcase their talent but rarely participated in public speaking exercises.

The Result of the Contest was as follows:

First Position (Team): Anirudh Sharma, Ashish Kumar
First Position (For the motion): Shashish Kamerikar and Anamika Kumari (First time taken initiative)
First Position (Against the motion): Supriya Anand and Diksha Kumari (First time taken initiative)

Through this competition, while presenting and listening to the arguments, students have got the exposure of different views about the topic, which has widen their perception and sharpen their critical and analytical thinking skills.

All the winners were felicitated during the Workshop on Recruitment & Selection under Expert Talk Series on April 12, 2019, Friday by Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR and Ms. Kavita Dasan, Vice President – Talent Management, DHFL.

GLBIMR clubs are actively engaged in organizing various engrossing activities that develop and sharpen the skills of the students.

Launch of Research Lab @ GLBIMR

With a view to leverage the innovation thinking and provide a platform to academicians, researchers, and practitioners for sharing scientific research on multidisciplinary aspects, GLBIMR is announcing the launch of its Research Lab. This research oriented initiative has been taken under the educational leadership of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions and Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR.

The objective of this research lab is to promote a variety of research and scholarly initiatives in the field of management. It is envisaged that, GLBIMR would help in the growth of intellectual capital, not only within the institute, but also to provide budding researchers with a platform to broad base their research initiatives at various levels for times to come. The key initiatives would be Joint publication with international universities, extending professional guidance for research, In-house publication, Faculty development Workshops for developing research orientation and organizing national and international conferences.

Under this initiative, the first innovative assignment under GLBIMR research lab is in collaboration with Burgundy College of Business, France on crowd funding process/ Shared economy/ P2P Economy. The goal is to develop indepth knowledge on the various dimensions of Crowd Funding as the preferred option for Startups and SMEs. Till date, there has been little research done into the current and future risks of crowdfunding. Considering this, GLBIMR solicits proposals in response to this Announcement of Launch of Research Lab on Crowd funding.

Art & Culture Club Organized; “The Skit Competition” on April 03, 2019 @ GLBIMR

In continuation to the club activities that foster holistic development, GLBIMR Organized “The Skit Competition” for PGDM students as part of ART & CULTURE CLUB, under the guidance of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR on April 03, 2019 at its Greater Noida Campus.

The objective of the activity was to enhance the personal skills and experiences like confidence, self-presentation, teamwork and collaboration, open mindedness to move beyond boundaries and experiment with different ideas, the ability to cope with criticism and learn from them resulting in a whole new developed, changed and an improved person.

The Result of the Contest was as follows:

Faculty Coordinator, Dr. Alpana Agarwal initiated the activity from planning to execution with great precision and in a systematic manner which led to the huge success of the event.
