Media Coverage of Induction program2017 from July 10-14, 2017 at GLBIMR
G L Bajaj Institute of Management & Research (GLBIMR), Greater Noida organized – one week long, Induction Program – 2017 for the newly admitted PGDM Batch 2017-19 on the theme- “Corporate Expectations and Insights for Aspiring Managers” from July 10-14, 2017. The Induction program was inaugurated by Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions, Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR and other dignitaries. The Induction program was specially tailored for the students in such a way, that they got a holistic view of corporate expectations in Marketing, Finance, HR, IT, Sales etc. Dr. Makkar shared that the guest speakers were carefully chosen and invited with a view to cover different segments of industry, these five days acted as road-map for the coming two years for students. More than 400 audiences comprising of distinguished guests, students, parents, media representatives, faculty and staff members of the Institute were present during the event.

With great pride, we share that recently, Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR participated in the UK-India Education & Research Initiative (UKIERI)’s “Technical Leadership Program”, in collaboration with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), from July 31- Aug 02, 2017 at C.V. Raman College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar. The Program, which was inaugurated by Prof. Anil Dattatraya Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE, proved to be a huge learning & networking platform.
UKIERI aims at enhancing educational links between India and the UK. It has been recognized as a key multi stakeholder program that has strengthened the educational relations between the two countries and been successful in covering all segments of the education sector. AICTE has tied up with Dudley College, UK to impart this training which was moderated by Dr. Lowell Williams, Principal, Dudley College, UK and his able team from Dudley college,UK.
More than 100 delegates; Directors and principals from across 24 Indian states representing polytechnics, management institutes, engineering colleges and other institutions of AICTE, participated in the coveted program. The program was aimed at providing an overview of the key leadership and management challenges faced by educational practitioners today, with a focus on the application of effective leadership and management techniques and their beneficial impact on departmental and institutional performance.
Participation in such elite program by AICTE is indeed a matter of honour & pride for GLBIMR.

GLBIMR successfully organized “HR Conclave 2017 – Leveraging HR for creating Competitive Edge”, on August 05, 2017, Saturday at its Greater Noida campus. Ceremonial Lamp lighting by Mr. Pankaj Agrawal, Vice Chairma, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions, Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR along with the elite guests of plenary session: Mr. Aseem Soni, CEO, Modern Foods Enterprises, Mr. Deepak Bharara, CHRO, Lanco Infratech, Mr. Amol Arora, Vice Chairman & MD, Shemrock Preschool and Shemford Schools and Mr. Ashutosh Mishra, Vice President –HR, Dish TV, marked the inauguration of the highly intellectual event, Mr. Pankaj Agrawal warmly welcomed the guests and extended gratitude for visiting the campus. Dr. Urvashi Makkar emphasized that, the present day workplace belongs to millennials. The generation is expected to comprise 75 percent of the global workforce by 2020, therefore the HR & People Management policies needs to be upgraded & customized accordingly. Recognizing the role of Human Resources as vital in contributing ideas for success and executing companies’ business plans in dynamic organizations of today, the HR Conclave 2017 witnessed some of the countries’ top HR professionals as panelists discussing on “Leadership Agility and Role of HR in Technology & Employee”. Mr. Amol Arora shared his journey & life experiences from being a startup company to an empire of Shemrock & Shemford, he layed emphasis on the role of HR in any organization is like a “superman”. HR department has evolved big time, shared Mr. Aseem Soni in his energetic address.
