Reorientation Program and Knowledge Sharing Session for PGDM Batch 2016-18

GLBIMR, under the visionary guidance of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions and Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR; organised Re-Orientation Program on “The Journey Ahead: Towards Corporate Excellence”, on July 21, 2017, for PGDM Batch 2016 – 18. Concurrently on this day, the PGDM Auditorium was also inaugurated by Mr. Pankaj Agarwal & Dr. Urvashi Makkar, along with eminent guests. It is a tastefully designed, one-of-a-kind auditorium, equipped with latest technology. Mr. Pankaj Agarwal shared that, at GLBIMR, the primary focus is on using latest technology and providing robust environment to students for their holistic development. He also extended warm welcome to the students back to campus after successfully completing their Summer Internship Program.The inauguration ceremony was followed by the Reorientation Program, which included knowledge sharing session by the eminent panelists. Dr. Urvashi Makkar welcomed the guests and shared that the basic purpose to organize this program is to provide the opportunity and platform to the students, where they can share their learning experiences & feedbacks during the Summer Internship Program. An experience of one becomes knowledge for others and sharing knowledge is the best way of self learning as well. The eminent panelists, which included Mr. Manvender Singh, Medanta Medicity, Ms. Lata Mali, AJ Capital, Mr. Sourabh Bali- Life and Career Coach, Mr. Yashdeep, Honda Motors, Mr. Govind Kumar, ICICI Securities, Mr. Divya Darshi, Axis Bank, Mr. Kushagra Singh, HDFC Financial Services, Ms. Prachi Kashyap, ICICI Securitie, Bharti Magu,Cynet Systems and Mr Aiman Anwar, Oriental Bank of Commerce, shared their corporate experiences & guided the students for the way forward.

Its a matter of pride to share that, 27 students have received appreciation letters during SIP from their respective organizations; these students were conferred with Champ Award & Appreciation Certificates. This was followed by “Experience Sharing Session” where students got an extensive opportunity to share their learning experiences & feedbacks of Summer Internship Program. Students with much gleam and enthusiasm shared their experience and key learnings.The session acted as morale booster for the students entering into crucial, second year of the PGDM Program.

The theme of faculty orientation was “Pedagogical Innovations through Academic Excellence”. The agenda of the Program included rigorous brainstorming sessions for innovative pedagogy, value added certification courses, skill enhancement programs, research methodology included in summer internship & dissertation.

GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida (GLBIMR) organized its Annual Academic Advisory Board Meeting on Saturday, May 20, 2017. Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR shared that under the guidance & leadership of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Group of Institutions; GLBIMR is emerging as leading Management Institute in India. Mr. Pankaj Agarwal welcomed all the members to the meeting & shared his vision for the coming Academic year. Dr. Makkar shared the agenda points of Academic AdvisoryBoard Meeting like Curriculum Design, Innovative Pedagogy, Institution Building Practices, Research Orientation & Faculty Development and Accreditation, in the wake of upcoming Academic Session 2017-18, which would start from July 01, 2017onwards.
