Entrepreneurship Development Cell of GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, “Flying Minds”, organized a One-Day Workshop on “Unlock The Champion Within” on March 15, 2018 by Mr. Chandrashekhar Singh, CEO & Founder, HelloPanditji.com, under the astute leadership of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR. Dr. Makkar shared that realizing the locks in our mind and determining the keys to open each one of them will embark the young managers of GLBIMR on a journey of insights & excellence. Certification Program on Advanced MS –Excel Analytics by MSME on December 12, 2017 @ GLBIMR #Day1
GLBIMR organized Customized Certification Program on Advanced MS –Excel Analytics by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) on December 12 & 13, 2017 at its Greater Noida campus under the visionary guidance of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR. The resource person of the event was Mr Brij Arora, advance Excel Trainer, while Mr. Abhishek Mukherjee, founder of Knowledge Talks was the guest speaker.
Dr. Makkar in her address welcomed the guest and inspired the students to keep themselves updated with new tools & technologies which are relevant for them. She explained that the Advanced MS –Excel certification will help them to use the advanced features of Excel, create advanced charts, spreadsheets, graphical representation of data & use of other data analyzing features of excel, which can open the gateways of jobs in all functional fields in the upcoming profiles of data analytics, analysts & strategic decision making.
Mr. Abhishek Mukherjee, emphasized that the current market requires proficiency in MS-excel so it is very crucial for the students to have more than basic knowledge of MS-Excel. The resource person of the program, Mr Brij Arora, who carries 15 years of rich industry experience, provided students with the necessary tools and learning techniques for implementation of Advanced MS –Excel in the organizations. He covered Spreadsheets, Formula implementation, Pivot Tables, Excel Macros, V- Lookup, Binary Classification, Calculating Positive & Negative Predictive Values, Data Representation, ROC Curve etc. The pedagogy of the workshop included optimal combination of simulation exercises and real time dashboard designing to make the workshop more interactive.
Students got a clear insight about the concepts, which will help them be more confident in exploring wide range of career opportunities available in India & abroad. All the students were enriched by the intellectual progression and were awarded with a Certification by MSME at the completion of program.

With the vision to create knowledge sharing platform and peer learning among faculty and staff members, GLBIMR organised “Participative Learning Program(PLP)” under the visionary guidance of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR at its Greater Noida campus.In this knowledge sharing series, the first PLP session was conducted by Dr. Anand Rai on the “Personal Financial Planning and Power of Compounding” on October 11, 2017. The second PLP session was conducted by Dr. Prachi Agarwal on the “Artificial Intelligence- A game changer in the hiring process” on November 6, 2017.The third PLP session was conducted by Dr. Ajay Patel on the “Portfolio Construction” on November 9, 2017.The fourth PLP session was conducted by Dr.Harsh Pratap on the “Meta Analysis- A quantitative literature review” on November 16, 2017.The fifth PLP session was conducted by Ms. Daitri Chaterjee on the “Data Science and its application in academics” on November 27, 2017.The sixth PLP session was conducted by Ms. Silky Sharma on the “Book Review: Grit written by Ms. Angela Duckworth” on November 29, 2017.
These sessions involved quality discussion and enhanced the knowledge of all team members in diverse areas of management and research.More such interactive and collaborative sessions will be continued to achieve deeper learning with wider prospective.
