On December 11 in 2014, The United Nations General Assembly declared June 21 as the International day of Yoga. The Declaration came after the call for adoption of 21st June as International day of Yoga by Hon’ble Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi during his address to UN General Assembly on September 27, 2014 .
Considering the importance of this event GLBIMR will be observing International Day of Yoga on June 21, 2018 (Thursday) and is organizing a special Yoga session for its Students, faculty and Staff members.
This session aims to sensitize students, faculty and staff members about the importance of yoga and to participate in this unique collective Yoga experience – with thousands of people in the same movement, the same respiration, at the same time and in the same rhythm.

We at GLBIMR, feel pleasure to invite your contributions in the form of research articles to the Volume 10, Number 2, July-December 2018 issue of our Journal ‘Optimization’: Journal of Research in Management, Listed in UGC with Journal No. (42869).
The journal invites original papers from both academics and corporate practitioners on all areas in business management. Paper may be based upon empirical research, or dealing with new theory/concepts in management that has practical applicability or a case study dealing with a management issue. Case study must be supported with two or more case analysis as well. Book reviews of newly published books can also be sent along with a copy of the book for publication consideration.
To support and endorse distinctive research work, we do not charge the authors for papers submission or printing of the paper in our journal. It is purely an academic venture to promote management research. Research Papers are selected on the basis of blind review.

Keeping up its commitment to provide 360 degree development to its PGDM students, GLBIMR under the visionary guidance of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, organized multiple array of activities to provide all round development and corporate exposure to its faculty and students during January 2018.
GLBIMR organized 8th Management Development Program on “Leadership Excellence”: The Secret to Creating High performance Teams”, Faculty development Program on “Conducting & Publishing Quality Research”, a Celebratory Luncheon for all faculty and staff members. GLBIMR also organized A Panel Discussion on Role of Youth in Nation Building and Thalassemia Awareness Session. A Panel Discussion on “Intrapreneurship- Leveraging Ownership to Deliver Excellence” was also organized. GLBIMR also proudly inaugurated E- Cell Flying Minds to promote entrepreneurship amongst its students. PGDM Students of Batch 2017-19 also bid farewell to PGDM Batch 2016-18 in a glittering ceremony “Hasta-La-Vista”. The month of January was full of new learning, development and knowledge sharing for all.
GLBIMR organized Workshop on Consumer Behavior by Ms. Sumedha Chatterjee on March 14,2018
Accelerating the momentum of qualitative learning, GLBIMR, Greater Noida under the erudite leadership of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, organized a Workshop on “Consumer Behavior” on March 14, 2018. The Resource Person for the Workshop was Ms. Sumedha Chatterjee, Head – Marketing, BMJ (British Medical Journal). Mr. Vivek Kumar, Director General, BMJ ( British Medical Journal) was also a part of this session.
Dr. Makkar welcomed Ms. Sumedha Chatterjee and shared that the workshop was organized to apprise students on consumer behavior and make them aware about industry relevant practices for creating products that consumers love. During the session, Ms.Chatterjee discussed about Customer Profiling, Consumer Research, Industry Perspectives, Current Trends and Challenges in Consumer Behavior. She further explained how awareness, research and comparison purchase and retention have impacted the consumers’ choices globally. This workshop helped students to learn that how consumer behavior is changing with the advent of new customer acquisition channels and how strongly consumer behavior is integrated in organizational business decision making.
