Global Talk Series on Strategic Management @ GLBIMR

GLBIMR is organizing a special session on ”Current Global Issues in Strategic Management” for PGDM Batch 2017-19, commencing from February 05-14 2018, under the ongoing Global Talk Series initiative. Global Talk Series is a unique project materialized under the leadership of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR; to provide global exposure to the students. The resource person of the series is globally renowned business expert, Mr. Ashish Patel, Managing Director, MorganFranklin, McLean, VA, USA.

Mr. Patel would discuss the major strategic issues in global markets and sensitize the students about the most up-to-date business models. He will be sharing various business challenges & upcoming strategies like Blue Ocean, Porter 5 forces, Delta model etc, based on consumer preferences, organizational values, technology and social evils. GLBIMR endeavors in organizing several sessions that aims to provide skill enhancement of the students, with an International approach.

8th Management Development Program on “Leadership Excellence: The Secret to Creating High Performance Teams” on January 05, 2018

GLBIMR organized 8th Management Development Program on “Leadership Excellence: The Secret to Creating High Performance Teams” on January 05, 2018 at its Greater Noida Campus, to make the participants learn, develop, and practice skills needed to succeed in their current and future leadership roles. This initiative was taken by the institute under the visionary guidance of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR. The Chief Guest of the event was Mr. Jasbir Singh Kaushal, Managing Director, Central Warehousing Corporation while Rajeev Vadakkepat, National Competency Manager, Nestle India Ltd and Ms. Deeksha Gupta, Talent Partner, Adobe were the Key Resource Persons .The event witnessed participation of more than 100 delegates from various corporate houses, academia and research scholars.
Dr. Makkar, Director General shared that this MDP will help participants developing their leadership potential and skills along with team building skills in pursuit of achieving organizational goals. Mr. Jasbir Singh Kaushal highlighted that to stay and excel in the race of stiff competition, organizations need leaders who can set vision for the organizations and transform it by creating high performance teams. Rajeev Vadakkepat and Deeksha Gupta, Key Resource Persons delivered knowledge on Conceptual framework of Leadership Excellence, Discovering your Leadership Style, Building Effective High Performing and Learning Teams in Organizations, Communication, Conflict Resolution and Decision making in Teams, Building Team Cohesion with Leadership and Emotional intelligence, Leadership Competencies for developing High Performance Work Teams , Challenges of Global Leadership and Co-operative, Competitive and Collaborative approaches in Team working.
The session was interactive and involved brainstorming activities among the participants and trainer. All the delegates were conferred with Participation Certificate. The event was extremely successful.
