GLBIMR signed a MOU with Rubicon Skill Development Pvt Ltd on July 18, 2019 to train students under Rubicon’s “Connect with Work” under the visionary guidance of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions at GLBIMR, Greater Noida. This MOU was signed by Mr. Vidit Kumar Choudhary, Campus Connect Manager, Rubicon Skill Development Pvt. Ltd. and Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR.

This MOU is a form of mutual commitment in complimenting each other to bridge the gap between Academia and Industry. The MOU is focused in providing various opportunities and training for placements along with Seminars, Workshops, Guest Lectures and Internships on latest technologies . It also aims at providing Practical knowledge and exposure to students by providing various opportunities for working on various live projects during their academic session.

Rubicon’s “Connect with Work” Program, supported by Barclays aims at improving the employability skills of the youths. Under this program students will be trained by Corporate Trainers to enhance their life skills which would help them significantly to increase their chance of succeeding in various job interviews.

The MOU was signed in areas of Co-operation & Implementation of the Project /Program-Ex- Campus recruitment, Faculty Training, Projects for Undergraduate and Postgraduate students, Sponsorship of Technical Events and Symposia at the Institute and Sponsoring of Research Projects etc.

GLBIMR Students participated at the Inter Institute Annual Declamation Contest on March 26th, 2019 organized by Sri Aurobindo Society

Continuing with the efforts to provide multi-dimensional growth opportunities to our students, GLBIMR Students from PGDM Batch 2018-20 participated at the Inter Institute Annual Declamation Contest organized by Sri Aurobindo Society,under the visionary guidance of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR on March 26th, 2019. The theme of the contest was “The Contribution of Youth in Resurgence of India” wherein option to speak in English or Hindi was provided to the students. The platform provided an ideal opportunity to the students to showcase their knowledge, oratory skills and competition spirit.

Satyam Srivastava has bagged the Second Prize at the Declamation Contest and was appreciated by the jury for his ability to connect with the audience. Around 20 students from other institutes also participated that raised the level of the contest to a very high level.

The other students who participated from GLBIMR were Amish Iqbal and Ankit Tiwari who also received positive comments for their contribution which was very engaging. They have received Certificate of Participation for the same.

In the constant endeavor to provide maximum corporate exposure, GLBIMR organized Amazon Campus Engagement Initiative for providing real life hands on marketing experience to students. Amazon, in its search for Prime Ambassadors, searched for creative problem solvers and effective communicators who would represent the organization at their campus. Through the rigorous screening process consisting of case study analysis, interview and also a week long project, Supriya Anand of PGDM 2018-20 has been selected as the Ambassador of Amazon Prime at the institute. Heartiest congratulations to her for this special achievement that is worthy of its credit as she has won this prestigious accolade out of many participants from 10 other institutes. Wishing her all the success in this new journey and role.

GLBIMR organized Two Days Workshop on “Summer Internship to Preplacement Offer” SIPO on March 14-15, 2019

Under the erudite leadership of the Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions and Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research organized Workshop on “Summer Internship to Preplacement Offer” (SIPO), on Monday, March 14-15, 2019 for PGDM 2018-20 Batch, conducted by Winning Mantra, a leading training and mentoring academy with more than 13 years of experience of building bridges between the worlds of academia and industry.

The eminent Industry Experts conducting the workshop were Mr. Pramod Joshi, Founder & Partner, Winning Mantra, Mr. Sudhanshu Hajela, Director, Winning Mantra, Kunal Sharma, Communication Skills trainer with national and international clients and Asim Thakurta, Veteran of the Power Industry, worked in techno-managerial roles for NTPC, Fluor Corp, Tata Power. This program was an effort for orienting the students towards making an assertive impact during the Summer Internship, utilizing their fundamental knowledge and management skills to get a Pre-Placement Offer (PPO).

While welcoming the Industry Experts during the inaugural session, Dr. Makkar addressed the students of PGDM Batch 2018-20 stating that the upcoming Summer Internship will be a game-changer for each placement aspirant in the campus. Continuing the legacy of the alumnus of GLBIMR, the students were encouraged to outperform themselves and earn Appreciation Letters from the organizations they are interning with.

In continuation to the Corporate Interface series, GLBIMR students under the visionary leadership of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions and Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR got the opportunity to participate in a interactive session on “Innovative Thinking – I Need My Space” organized by Dr. Edward Roger on February 08 2019 at American Center, New Delhi.

Dr. Edward Roger has been associated with top ranked ISB (Indian School of Business) for over 10 years. Combined with his over 15 years of experience helping NASA learn from their complex space missions, he has insights on how leaders make decisions and generate creative solutions.

In the session Dr. Edward cited various examples like how AMAZON has worked on disintermediation of space and created a successful model of E-Commerce and SPACEX has come out with innovative business idea. He explained how we as an individual always get involve in complex thinking process for generating a new or creative idea but we forget that some times a great idea can evolve just by thinking very simply and giving space to those ideas in our thinking process.

Dr Edward shared some tips HOW DO WE CREATE A SPACE?

He cited that there are three different ways how we can create a space:

a. Create Visual Space

b. Create Mental Space (by asking questions)

c. Create Unexpected Space (Out of Box thinking , Something nobody have ever thought)

He emphasized that every one should create the space to develop the art of Innovative and Creative Thinking.

The event was enriching experience for the students to have a idea about Innovative Thinking and How to create space for the same. It was a great networking platform for the students where they asked several questions, which was appreciated and addressed by the speaker.
