Mr. Kamalendu Bali- Director-Solutions, Concentrix, Gurgaon will be expert resource person. He has 25 years of experience in managing high-performance teams across verticals in India, China, Middle East and Africa. He has worked with globally connected teams with a strong appreciation of cultural nuances across multiple locations. Mr. Babu Vittal – Head HR, will grace the session as Chief Guest. Mr. Vittal has over 23 years of experience. He has led the HR department at Reliance Communications, and worked as Senior Director, HR, at Flipkart where he managed compensation benefits, performance management, and organization design.

We at GLBIMR, feel pleasure to invite your contributions in the form of research articles to the Volume 10, Number 1, January-June 2018 issue of our Journal ‘Optimization’: Journal of Research in Management, Listed in UGC with Journal No. (42869).
The journal invites original papers from both academics and corporate practitioners on all areas in business management. Paper may be based upon empirical research, or dealing with new theory/concepts in management that has practical applicability or a case study dealing with a management issue. Case study must be supported with two or more case analysis as well. Book reviews of newly published books can also be sent along with a copy of the book for publication consideration.
To support and endorse distinctive research work, we do not charge the authors for papers submission or printing of the paper in our journal. It is purely an academic venture to promote management research. Research Papers are selected on the basis of blind review.

GLBIMR organized a full day session on Marketing Management”, under the ongoing Expert Talk Series, initiated by Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR; on September 19, 2017. The Guest Speaker of the session was, Dr. Sanjiv Mittal, Dean, – University School Management Studies, GGSIP University, New Delhi, Who is an acclaimed academician with more than 30 years of rich experience, and several accolades for his contribution in the field of education.

Dr. Urvashi Makkar, while welcoming the Guest Speaker, shared that the main objective of providing these opportunities, is to apprise the young minds with the current scenario prevailing in the industry and to inspire them to imbibe the marketing concepts.

Dr. Sanjiv Mittal, gave very valuable insights during the session, he shared various concepts of marketing management like, holistic marketing, the profit triangle, loyalty and retention, STP, consumer behavior, the concepts of value creation and latest marketing strategies.

Such customized sessions prove to be very valuable learning experience for the students, enhancing their skills and sharpening the concepts.

GLBIMR students are provided various platforms to learn & acquire exposure of the corporate world; Corporate Interface Series (CIS) is one of the most successful corroboration of the same, under the guidance of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR.
Recently, PGDM Batch 2017-19 students got an opportunity to participate in Brand Marquee, a scintillating corporate event, packed with renowned Business leaders from across the nation, organized by MBARendezvous, held on September 7, 2017, at India Islamic Cultural Center, New Delhi. The agenda topic of the event was “Brand is the theme of Entrepreneurial Manager”, where Mr. Manoj Kohli, Executive Chairman at SoftBank Energy was the chief guest and many leading business leaders like Mr. Arvind Vohra, Gionee India, Mr. Sushil Pandit, The Hive Communications, Mr. Pankaj Dubey, CEO, Eicher Polaris Pvt. Ltd, Mr. Ashish Bansal, Samsung Electronics, Mr. Manish Aggarwal, Bikanervala Foods Pvt. Ltd and many more such renowned dignitaries , were part of the elaborative panel during various sessions.

Our students not only participated, but also volunteered the whole event, and contributed in Registration, Stage Handling, Session Coordinating etc. It was a great networking platform for the students where they also asked several relevant queries, which were appreciated & addressed by the speakers.
