HR Conclave 2017-Corporate Glittering speak

GLBIMR successfully organized “HR Conclave 2017 – Leveraging HR for creating Competitive Edge”, on August 05, 2017, Saturday at its Greater Noida campus.

The HR Conclave had a plenary session and two panel discussions on following sub themes:

The Conclave brought along the most efficient HR fraternity discussing about the concurrent concern areas in HR & People Management. This Conclave which was a huge success was attended by around 400 people from HR & Media Fraternity, Corporates, Academics, Students, Faculty & Staff members of GLBIMR. The Media Partners were Dialogue India and Business World and corporate sponsors were Nutriglow and Organic India.

Expression Club of GLBIMR presents “DRISHYAA”

​Expression Club of GLBIMR ​is a Platform where ​​enthusiastic students will ​synergize their energies to bring out and live every ​emotion that their life must offer.
The first inhouse activity of this club is DRISHYAA, which will be a lively event, comprising of poster making & skit presentation​ by the students of PGDM Batches 2016-18 & 2017-19. ​

Parichay – Fresher’s Party @ GLBIMR on August 11,2017

The campus of GLBIMR was abuzz with music, laughter, colours & glee when
PGDM Batch 2016-18 welcomed the new Batch 2017-19 with a grand Freshers Party- “PARICHAY-2017”. Parichay aimed at breaking the ice between the seniors & juniors, making the new entrants comfortable and at ease. To mark the beginning of the party, ceremonial lamp lighting was done by Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR along with students & faculty members. Dr. Makkar in her address welcomed once again the new batch with cheerful warmth and appreciated the final year students for their efforts and sincerity in arranging a grand fresher’s party.

The day was filled with dance, music, excitement and enthusiasm. There were beautifully choreographed dance performances by Rahul Gupta & Group, Kstiz & Group, Prince & Group , and soulful singing performances by Apporve & Group, Yash & Group, Abhay of PGDM 2016-18, mesmerized the audience with his melodious voice and Beat Boxing by Alok was amazing.

The gala event concluded with an extravagant DJ Party for the new batch. The energy on the dance floor was unabated and even towards the end the students were demanding for more!!!

Director General at the AICTE Technical Leadership Program

Director General, GLBIMR at the AICTE Technical Leadership Program

With great pride, we share that recently, Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR participated in the UK-India Education & Research Initiative (UKIERI)’s “Technical Leadership Program”, in collaboration with All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), from July 31- Aug 02, 2017 at C.V. Raman College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar. The Program, which was inaugurated by Prof. Anil Dattatraya Sahasrabudhe, Chairman, AICTE, proved to be a huge learning & networking platform.

UKIERI aims at enhancing educational links between India and the UK. It has been recognized as a key multi stakeholder program that has strengthened the educational relations between the two countries and been successful in covering all segments of the education sector. AICTE has tied up with Dudley College, UK to impart this training which was moderated by Dr. Lowell Williams, Principal, Dudley College, UK and his able team from Dudley college,UK.

More than 100 delegates; Directors and principals from across 24 Indian states representing polytechnics, management institutes, engineering colleges and other institutions of AICTE, participated in the coveted program. The program was aimed at providing an overview of the key leadership and management challenges faced by educational practitioners today, with a focus on the application of effective leadership and management techniques and their beneficial impact on departmental and institutional performance.

Participation in such elite program by AICTE is indeed a matter of honour & pride for GLBIMR.

2nd Blood Donation Camp organised at GLBIMR

“2nd Blood Donation Camp organised at GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research”

The spirit of 71st Independence Day was celebrated by organizing the 2nd Blood Donation Camp on August 10, 2017 at GLBIMR, in collaboration with Lions Blood Bank, New Delhi. This CSR initiative has been taken under the patronage of Mr. Pankaj Agrawal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions and strategic acumen of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General,GLBIMR.

The inauguration of the Blood Donation Camp was done by Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Ln. P.K. Agarwal, President, Lions Club International, Ln Usha Agarwal & Mr. Anurag Anand of Lions Blood Bank. The students of PGDM Batch 2017-19, presented a heart touching “Nukkad Natak” to mark the importance of donating blood. Dr.Makkar also donated blood, setting an example that Blood Donation is the best and purest contribution one can make for the benefit of the society, which costs nothing but its value is more than anything else. She also motivated the students & GLBIMR faculty & Staff members to participate in the noble cause and be a SuperHero.

GLBIMR actively conducts Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) activities from the perspectives of welfare of Society and this annual initiative of Blood Donation Camp is one such stride in the same direction. Last Year’s camp was huge success. This year also all the students and members of GLBIMR participated enthusiastically in this nobel cause. More than 150 Students, Faculty and Staff Members registered themselves for the donation and augmented the feeling of giving.
