Mr. Kamalendu Bali- Director-Solutions, Concentrix, Gurgaon will be expert resource person. He has 25 years of experience in managing high-performance teams across verticals in India, China, Middle East and Africa. He has worked with globally connected teams with a strong appreciation of cultural nuances across multiple locations. Mr. Babu Vittal – Head HR, Shopclues.com will grace the session as Chief Guest. Mr. Vittal has over 23 years of experience. He has led the HR department at Reliance Communications, and worked as Senior Director, HR, at Flipkart where he managed compensation benefits, performance management, and organization design.

GLBIMR Student got Rs 200000 Scholarship from Capital First Limited
Its a pleasure to share that, under the great initiative by Capital First in association with GLBIMR, one of our student, Shrishti Singh of PGDM Batch 2017-19 has received a Scholarship grant of Rs 200000 (Rs. 100000 each year), in the Capital First Scholarship Program . Shrishti has been selected by the jury/panel of Capital First on the basis of the guidelines of the program.

The Journey of learning continued on second day of Digital Marketing Certification by MSME @ GLBIMR on September 12, 2017

The second day of Certification Program on “Digital Marketing” by Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprise (MSME) on September 11-12, 2017 for PGDM Batch 2017-19 witnessed, equal enthusiastic participation by students.
Another batch of students learnt the concepts of creating & running an Ad Campaign, designing google Adwords, Search Engine Optimization, Email Marketing, Content Marketing, concepts of Bid, CTR, and Quality Score, budgeting, search campaigns and latest Digital Marketing Strategies as a part of the module.

The key resource person of this session was Mr. Jatin Bindal, renowned corporate trainer for digital marketing, and Mr. Abhishek Mukherjee, founder of Knowledge Talks was the guest speaker. Dr. Urvashi Makkar extended gratitude to the guest speakers and motivated the students to keep learning so that the certification program leaves constructive impact on their academic and Professional career.

PGDM students of GLBIMR got a clear insight about the concept which will help them to improve their knowledge in Digital Marketing. The resources team enlightened the students with their valuable knowledge regarding the subject matter.

Students were also awarded with the Certification after the completion of session.

Interactive Ideas Meet – A CIS activity at India Habitat Centre

Under the initiative of Corporate Interface Series (CIS), 15 students of PGDM batch 2016-2018 along with Dr Harsh Pratap Singh participated in the Interactive Ideas Meet On “Driving Strategic HR Through Talent/People Analytics: A New Agenda, held on August 25, 2017 at India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road New, Delhi. The Session was organized by International Consulting Professionals’ Institute (ICPI) and chaired by Mr. Sudhir Rao, Senior Specialist, IBM Watson Talent Solutions

During the session Mr. Rao emphasized on role of analytics in delivery of the needed skills & capabilities, understanding & managing the workforce of the business to succeed. He focused on HR Data Management and role of analytics in business decision making. He further explained the concept of Tabulated Systems, Programmable Systems and Cognitive systems. It was a highly interactive session and students asked their questions related to Human resource information system and data analytics.

GLBIMR successfully organized a five days long Induction Program for PGDM Batch 2017-19 from July 10-14, 2017 on the theme- “Corporate Expectations and Insights for Aspiring Managers”.
The Induction Program witnessed enlightening sessions by eminent expert speakers from corporate & academics. Students were overwhelmed by the kind of sessions delivered by the Corporate experts like Mr. Rajiv Kapoor, Executive Director-Group HRM, MINDA Group, Ms. Simin Askari, Vice President – HR, DS Group, Mr Anup Mandal, Chief Technology Officer, HT Media Ltd, Mr. Mathieu Jouve, Villard Managing Partner Wedge Consulting, Mr. Anurag Batra, Chairman and Editor in Chief, BusinessWorld, Mr. Rajiv Sahdev, Group President, JBM and many more.

Club Activity – “Drishyaa” by The Expression Club, GLBIMR

The expression club of the GLBIMR organized a poster making and skit competition titled “DRISHYAA – SEEING WHAT OTHER’S DONT” on August 19, 2017. Club activities which are initiated by Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR; are integral part of the institute’s innovative learning pedagogy, as these activities contribute towards the holistic development of students. ‘Drishyaa’ was organized under the guidance of faculty coordinator, Ms. Radhika Malhotra, it aimed at encouraging and exploring the Inventiveness in students and offer them a platform to showcase their skills. It inspired them to think and work creatively in order to promote artistic excellence. Students participated earnestly in the competition. They came up with amazing creativity. Their efforts and initiative was appreciated by one and all.

The jury members prudently judged the art & creativity of students, the rubrics for judgment were: Originality, Clarity of expression, Uniqueness, Relativity to the Theme.

Each of the posters prepared by the students was a treat to the eyes which also made the selection process extremely difficult for the judges. A fabulous variety ranging from authentic to highly innovative creativity entertained the audience.
