GLBIMR Student Wins StockMIND Season 6 by ICICI Securities Limited.
G L Bajaj Institute of Management & Research is delighted to share that student of PGDM Batch 2017-19, Ms. Anamika Singh has been declared the Pan-India Winner of “StockMIND Season 6” competition organized by ICICI Securities Limited. GLBIMR conducted this activity to help students gain hands-on experience of Stock Trading in Indian Stock Market, under the aegis of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR.
We are happy to herald Ms. Anamika Singh is the First Woman to be awarded this accolade; she has received a Prize of Rs 1,00,000 and round trip to Singapore.

Expert Talk Series on “Excelling in Life & Coping with Failures” on April 10, 2018
Continuing the legacy of disseminating knowledge relevant to Corporate Readiness, Expert Talk Series at G L Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida, Special Session on “Excelling in Life & Coping with Failures” by Dr. (Prof.) AKS Suryavanshi, Vice Chancellor, SGT University was organized for PGDM Batch 2017-19 on April 10, 2018, under the visionary guidance of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR.
Dr. Makkar highlighted during her address to students that they must aspire big & dream big to achieve great heights in their professional lives; at GLBIMR, students must focus upon achieving excellence to emerge as future leaders. She warmly welcomed the esteemed guest and shared that the energy and ardour that Dr. Suryavanshi possessed is an inspiration and motivation for the budding managers at GLBIMR to achieve beyond their own expectations. During the highly interactive session, two of the most pertinent concerns of the students were addressed in the context of the present competitive era, “Failures and Resignation”. The students discussed about the way forward as professionals who are ready to match their suitability in business organizations and learnt how to thrive on the challenges in their career ahead by planning their knowledge and competency, infusing pear-learning, developing core domain knowledge and being non-judgmental about our competition. Congratulating GLBIMR on the extensive Soft Skills Program, Dr. Suryavanshi expressed it is a pre-requisite to imbibe conflict resolution and gender neutrality as our traits.
GLBIMR-ians were enthralled by the session and instilled the words – “Be sincere and believe in people!”
GLBIMR Participated in National Conclave on ‘The Future of Talent Acquisition’ Organized by Times Academy of HR Excellence on March 09, 2018
Under the Corporate Interface Series envisaged by Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, PGDM 2017-19 Batch students participated in the National Conclave on the Future of Talent Acquisition organized by Times Academy of HR Excellence (TAHE) on March 09, 2018.
The conclave was an attempt to explore emerging possibilities in HR domain with special reference to recruitment. The session on “Recruitment Reinvented” introduced a one of its kind 45-minutes certification program for HR aspirants under the umbrella of TAHE to set a benchmark and develop the skills of participants. The expert panelists, with Mr Ramathreya K, Business Head, TimesJobs & TechGiG as the Key Notes speaker, discussed the methods to understand and compare best practices across the industry in terms of recruitment, and to predict the future course of recruitment industry.
The conclave had eminent Industry representation with participation from Ms.Ruby Jha, Assistant Director, Ernst & Young, Mr.Anupam Jain, Director Recruitment–India and Philippines, FIS and Ms.Swati Srivastava, Head – Leadership Hiring, Lenskart.
The event was an enriching experience for the GLBIMR students to learn about innovative ways and future of recruitment. Expert panelists added to the knowledge of participants by sharing various concepts of Artificial Intelligence, Chatbots, Human Brain Mapping, Virtual Reality, and their applications in finding the right person for the right job at the right time. Ms Silky Sharma, Assistant Professor – Human Resource, GLBIMR, successfully cleared the Recruitment Certification program and received appreciation for her performance. All the participating students were awarded with certificate of participation.
The conclave provided a corporate exposure to the students of GLBIMR with an opportunity to interact with industry leaders and more than 100 representations from Talent Acquisition leaders, Consultants, Professionals and Managers from various renowned companies.
GLBIMR Students Participated in Business Quiz under FMS-AUUP at AMITY UNIVERSITY, NOIDA on March 10,2018
Curiosity is a great key in innovation and in our journey to foster innovation in GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, the inquisitive lot of PGDM Batch 2017-19 students participated in the Business Quiz under FMS-AUUP at AMITY UNIVERSITY, NOIDA on March 10, 2018, under the guidance of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR . It was an interesting afternoon of intense quizzing interlaced with an entertaining set of questions where curious young minds from GLBIMR battled it out for claiming the honours. The Business quiz competition was designed as an innovative, interactive session to facilitate a copious flow of knowledge and ideas packaged in exciting rounds. Questions related to current business trends in branding & Advertising and financial terminologies were asked from the students.
Learning through management quizzing is fun and goes beyond the traditional bounds of management training. Thirty Five Teams from Amity University and Delhi Technical University as well as corporate representations from organizations of repute like Deloitte, NTPC, Hero Motocorp, Indian Oil Corporation, and PNB were part of the Business Quiz.
Our students Naveen Pratap Singh, Mohit Sudhanshu, and Shikar Garg were the winners of Audience Round. All the participating students received accolades for their participation.

GLBIMR Students participated in “Markathon 2018”, Delhi on February 02, 2018
In continuation to the Corporate Interface Series, GLBIMR students under the visionary leadership of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR, the students got the opportunity to participate in the Inter College Marketing Event –“ Markathon 2018” at JIMS, Kalakaji New Delhi on February 02, 2018.
GLBIMR students enthusiastically participated with full vigor in different competitive activities, like Case Study Competition, IPL Auction Ad Mad Show, Kabadi Bazaar, Management Ludo and Ad Guru. Our Students showcased their talent, entrepreneurial skills, creativity and gave tough competition to other Institutes, with positive sportsmanship spirit.
The Case Study Competition, and Management Ludo triggered the competitive and decision making abilities of students and our students reached to the final round. It was a remarkable fun filled & learning experience for all the students.
A soulful harmony of Classical Dance & Music at GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research by SPIC MACAY
A spectacular cultural evening was organized at the leading management institute, GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, in association with SPIC MACAY (Society for the Promotion of Indian Classical Music and Culture Amongst Youth) on February 6, 2018. Dr Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR, along with the artists’ from SPIC MACAY inaugurated the grand event with evoking Goddess Saraswati. Smt. Malti Shyam, a legendary Kathak Artist from Lucknow Gharana, was the lead performer of the event, accompanied with leading Tabla artist, Shri Suraj Nirwan, Shri Santosh Sinha, Eminent Vocalist & Harmonium player and Ms. Yamika Mahesh. Dr Makkar in her inaugural remarks emphasized that, Indian Classical Dance & Music is one of the most expressive forms of art, and it is imperative for the students to experience the rich Indian Cultural Heritage, she further shared that SPIC MACAY is a revolution of Indian classical performing arts, intended to enrich the quality of formal education by increasing awareness about different aspects of Indian heritage and inspiring the young mind to imbibe the values embedded in it.
A mesmerizing performance of various forms of Kathak, by Smt Malti Shyam , left the audience awe struck & spell bounded. Malti Shyam went from strength to strength. “kanhaa kaahe chede bansuriya” making even Brijbhoomi glow, was evoked through elegantly tailored dance, with all kathak ingredients incorporated. In the ultimate abstraction of Krishna consciousness manifesting in the blue clouds, the rain, the call of the flute, the dance surpassed in masterly, involved presentation. It was a perfect blend of harmony depicting a beautiful conversation between mind, body & soul. Suraj Nirwan, Tabla artist charmed everyone with his captivative perfection on the instrument, his “rela” performance, truly recreated the sound of moving train in the auditorium. Soulful melody of Santosh Kumar Sinha & Yamika Mahesh, enthralled everyone, bursting the audience in multiple rounds of applauds for the artists.
More than 300 people including, several eminent personalities from Administration, Academia, Corporate, Politics and Media graced the spectacular event with their presence. GLBIMR concluded the day with a promise of organizing more such events.

Technovation Club of GLBIMR organized “TECH-ACT”- Exploring the real World Scenario with the blend of Technology on December 21, 2017 , which was huge success. Students presented precise acts through their skills and talent to showcase the real world scenario with the blend of technology.
The event, which witnessed great zeal & enthusiasm from the students, was judged Dr Anand Rai and Dr. Brijendra Yadav.
