With a motive to enhance innovativeness and facilitate students to adopt technology in every spere of life, GLBIMR Technovation Club organized its first activity “The Cutting Edge” on July 27, 2018. The event witnessed deep engagement of students from both the batches who participated in the innovation test and Techno-quiz with enthusiasm. The objective of the activity was to enhance the technology and innovation skills of the students.
The activity was divided into two phases. In phase 1, students took an innovative diagnostic test to judge their level of innovativeness and creativity so that identified gaps can be filled. In Phase 2, Techno quiz was conducted with various rounds to judge the level of knowledge that students have of the technology world and the innovation taking place. Mr. Dhairya Rogha (PGDM Batch 2018-20) was the winner of the event in Phase 1. The winners of phase 2 were Rishabh Thakur, Priyanka Gupta, Surojeet, Lokesh Gupta, Abhishek Dora and Jyoti Sharma.

GLBIMR is celebrating the spirit of independence by organizing Blood Donation Camp at 9.30 a.m. on August 16, 2018 at its Greater Noida Campus in collaboration with Lions Blood Bank, Delhi.

GLBIMR Students participated in Aaj Tak Debate Show- “Halla Bol” & “Takkar”, Broadcasted Live on National Television, organized by The India Today Group on July 21, 2018
The students of GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research of PGDM Batch 2018–20 participated in Aaj Tak Debate Show- “Halla Bol & Takkar”, a debate on “Poor Response to No Confidence Motion” on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at The India Today Group Office “Mediaplex”, Noida. The event was a part of the ongoing Corporate Interface Series (CIS) initiated under the guidance of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR.
The distinguished speakers of the debate includes Mr. Sambhik Patra, National Spokesperson – Bharatiya Janata Party, Mr. Ghanshyam Tiwari, National Spokesperson – Samajwadi Party and Mr. Rajeev Tyagi, Spokesperson – Indian National Congress. Students of GLBIMR actively participated in the debate and asked questions from the panel of national leaders related to the issues of Social Unrest, Lok Pal Bill, Communalism, Womens Safety & Security. In addition to this, students also got the chance to introduce themselves to Senior Politicians and Media persons adding to their experience of personal and professional networking. This visit catalyzed GLBIMR-ians to understand the innovative offerings of the Institute to enhance their skills as dynamic management professionals.

Director General invited as an Expert Speaker at Interactive Ideas Meet Session organized by ICPI, DMA and NHRD on July 26, 2018
It gives us immense pleasure to share that Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida was invited as an Expert Speaker on “Mindfulness and Happiness for Personal & Professional Life” organized by International Consulting Professional Institute (ICPI), Delhi Management Associations (DMA) and National Human Resource Development (NHRD) on July 26, 2018 at India Habitat Center, New Delhi. The meet witnessed participation of delegates from the world of Academia, Consulting and Corporate. Along with Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Mr. Sanjay Anand, Gurukul Scholar from London School of Economics was also invited as the Expert Speaker for this meet.
Dr. Urvashi Makkar during her address complimented the organizers, Mr. Deepak Bharara, Trustee and Director, ICPI, Delhi Management Associations (DMA) and National Human Resource Development (NHRD) for successfully organizing the event. She highlighted the Happiness Advantage, which organisations can develop by creating happiness amongst the employees. She emphasized the happiness principles by Shawn Anchor, the celebrated Happiness Researcher and also suggested that companies should have employee’s wellness programs in order to enhance the level of satisfaction and succor among the employees. She also accorded her views on employee’s motivation and to attain contentment and satisfaction at the workplace.
The session was highly interactive and involved loads of Q&A related to achieving excellence and a healthy psychological state in personal and professional life using mindfulness & happiness.
We are all set to welcome you to Management Development Program (MDP) on “Business Forecasting for Effective Decision Making- An Application of Regression Technique” on Saturday, July 21, 2018. This MDP will help participants delve into application of regression analysis for business forecasting. The learning outcome aims to focus on data driven decision making to eliminate common errors due to guesswork based on managers’ intuition. This program will enable them understanding the model development and accuracy prediction to make effective decision making with the usage of Excel and SPSS.
