With great pride, we share that Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR was conferred with highly prestigious “Leading Women in Education” Award at the 7th Annual Women Leaders in India & Awards, on Feb 16, 2017 during a glittering ceremony at JW Marriott Hotel Juhu, Mumbai. GLBIMR was showcased as the Academic partner of the event and Dr. Makkar was invited as one of the eminent speaker at the conference, where she presented her insightful views on the topic- “The Power of Women’s Voice”. Veteran Actor, Producer & Director, Mr. Dheeraj Kumar, conferred the awards to women achievers from diverse area from all over India.
“Women Leaders in India and Awards” has become an integral part of the Indian business calendar, celebrating the remarkable achievements of successful women leaders, entrepreneurs and professionals. This year also some of the prominent and influential women leaders and entrepreneurs were felicitated at the Mega award night. Under the visionary guidance of Dr. Urvashi Makkar,Director General, GLBIMR, the PGDM students got an opportunity to participate in an interactive session named “Enjoy Successful Management Career with Powerful Memory’’, organized by AIMA on Feb 23,2017. Mr. Nilanjan Mukherjee, Assistant Manager, Human Resource, Relaxo Group was the key resource person of the session.
The session was very interesting and informative wherein key aspects of life and importance of having a powerful memory were discussed with the participants. We are sure such kind of exposure will contribute in the holistic development of our budding managers.

Certification Programme on Financial Services@GLBIMR by MSME
GLBIMR always believes in Customized and innovative teaching methodology and keeping the same viewpoint, under the visionary guidance of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR organized a One Day Certification Programme on Financial Services, in collaboration with Ministry of Micro and Small Medium Enterprise (MSME) on February 21, 2017 at its Greater Noida campus.
Mr. Pradip Kumar Agarwal, Trainer, Knowledge Talks and Mr. Abhishek Mukherjee, Founder of Knowledge Talks were invited as eminent speakers. Dr.Urvashi Makkar welcomed the eminent guests and shared her views about the pedagogy of the certification programme and topics to be covered under this session. She also emphasized that this certification is organized for students to understand the real challenges confronted in financial services, particularly banking and insurance sector. The resources team enlightened the students with their valuable knowledge regarding the subject matter. Students were also awarded with the Certification after the completion of session.
