GLBIMR BestBschool PGDM BSchool MDP Placements Keeping its glorious legacy of imparting quality education and to disseminate technical knowledge to corporate, academicians and students; GLBIMR organized Management Development Program (MDP) on ”DATA VISUALIZATION & BIG DATA” on December 7, 2016, Wednesday at its Greater Noida Campus. Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR inaugurated the session and highlighted the significance of MDPs, that how they are bridging the gap between corporate and academia. The Chief Guest of the event, Mr. Alakh Verma, Director of Project Management, Oracle and Adviser & Program Director, Scholars University, Silicon Valley, USA delivered inaugural address to the dignitaries through video conferencing from Silicon Valley. He discussed about the latest technologies that the country should adapt to achieve new milestones of success. The expert speaker of the event, Mr. Ajay Kumar Chauhan, Faculty, IMT Ghaziabad shared with participants essentials of BigData and also discussed case studies where Big Data and Data Visualization techniques implementations were required. The faculty convener Dr. Hemlata Bhatt presented the vote of thanks to Director General, Guests and dignitaries for their immeasurable support during the conduct of MDP and making it a grand success. The event witnessed participation of more than 50 dignitaries from various corporate houses, management associations and students from various institutes and universities. All the participants received certificate of participation.
To focus on the contemporary issues and challenges in finance and encourage open discussion with regards to the expected finance skills from the B-School graduates , GLBIMR under the auspices of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR is organizing a one day “Panel discussion on Issues, Scope & Challenges in Finance” on Dec 09, 2016 at its Greater Noida campus. The expert resources of the panel discussion, Mr. Kapil Kumar Manger, Syndicate Bank and Mr. Dhruv Nijhawan Manager-Market Intelligence, EXL Ltd. will capture insights on the #finance domain.
The panel discussion would act as a rendezvous for the participants to listen to the views and experiences pertaining to the emerging issues and challenges in Finance. It will give the students splendid opportunities to have in-depth understanding the scope of finance and its associated career opportunities.

GLBIMR Students @ Aaj Tak –Discussion on Demonetization
Under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR management students got a unique opportunity to participate in most popular talk show held on Aaj Tak” on 2nd Dec 2016 at The India Today Group, Film City Noida, The subject of the talk show was “Demonetization”, which is the most discussed topic among public at large.
The eminent panelist at the talk show were Ravi Shankar Prasad current Union Minister holding Law and Justice and Ministry of Information Technology, Dr. Sambit Patra Spokesperson BJP, Meera Sanyal-Aam Aadmi Party speaker,Ashok Lahiri economist, Sudhindra Bhadoria BSP & Ranjeeta Ranjan-Sansad congress. Talk show was anchored by Rahul Kanwal-India TV and Anjana Om kashyap-Aaj Tak.
Eminent speakers discussed the topic on digital cash, how to focus on e-payment and how to check and control flow of black money in economy. Students of GLBIMR expressed their views on the talk show and also asked questions from the panelist on Demonetization. Talk show was attended by around 100 GLBIMR students. Talk show enabled the students to understand the brighter & sharper aspects of digital money and how can demonetization helps the economy to expand. Through this extended effort of GLBIMR, PGDM students got the chance to understand the impact of demonetization & how can e-payment & digital banking can replace cash transactions.

In series of offering corporate exposure to its PGDM students, GLBIMR organised a Panel Discussion on “Issues and Challenges in HR” on December 2, 2016 in its Greater Noida Campus. Dr. Urvashi Makkar, Director General, GLBIMR welcomed the expert speakers, Ms. Deeksha Sharma, Talent Partner, Adobe Systems Pvt Ltd and Mr. Rajeev Jain, Program Manager, Sutherland . Dr. Makkar further highlighted about three major challenges of HR which were to acquire the right talent, sustain the talent and motivate the talent. She also emphasized that HR is omni present functional domain and learning about the challenges, skill sets and talent requirement of this function were the agenda of the discussion.
Ms. Deeksha Sharma excellently discussed about the trends of HR profile in current business environment and shared about the strategic role of HR as business partner. Mr. Rajeev Jain highlighted the diversification of roles and responsibilities in HR Domain and also confabulated about Knowledge Management, Employee Engagement, Employee work ethics, and Employer branding. The experts also shared some vital techniques and tips to clear the interview process. The students were actively involved and enthusiastic while asking questions from the experts. The session was moderated by Ms. Prachi Agarwal, Assistant Professor, GLBIMR, which she concluded with the vote of thanks.
