Workshop on “Cyber Safety” under its “Expert Talk Series”

GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida conducted a Workshop on “Cyber Safety” under its “Expert Talk Series” by Ms. Akancha Srivastava, Social Change Leader & Cyber Security Expert, Founder of Akancha Srivastava Foundation (India’s largest Social Impact Initiative Against Cyber Harassment) on Wednesday, December 04, 2019 in PGDM Auditorium, GLBIMR campus for the students of PGDM Batch 2019-21 under the visionary guidance of Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR.

The event started with lighting of ceremonial lamp and invocation of Goddess Saraswati. Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR welcomed the guests by presenting sapling as a token of greeting.The aim of the workshop was to make the students aware of the risks that exist on the internet. It also covered the basics of cyber security, the things that can potentially go wrong and the precautions students can take to safeguard themselves against them. Ms. Akancha Srivastava told the students about the different types of cyber crimes like bullying, stalking, cyber pornography, morphing and impostering. She also told about the association with Mr. Navneet Sikera, IG, U.P. Police who joined hands with her foundation to fight against the cyber crimes in U.P.

All the students and faculty members attended the session which turned out to be a highly engaging and learning experience for them.

Video Conferencing Session on “Managing Customer Experiences” @ GLBIMR

GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida organized Video Conferencing Session on “Managing Customer Experiences” by Prof. Vaibhav Chawla, Senior Professor, Marketing Management, IIT Madras on Tuesday, November 19, 2019 in PGDM Seminar Hall, GLBIMR campus for the students of PGDM Batch 2019-21(Section B & C) under the visionary leadership of Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR.

The objective of the session was to provide students a better understanding about the marketing and customers and give a platform through which they can get exposed to wider knowledge about marketing management. The lecture was on managing customer experiences and how it can help the business to grow. Prof. Chawla showed a model comprising of customer journey and experience with the product/service provider. Customer journey means gathering of information, buying, using and giving feedback about the product whereas customer experience means what does product/service provider means to customer in totality. The model shares the questions and barriers that an individual faces during several stages of his journey as a consumer. It helps the business answering these questions and eliminating the barriers through consumer point of contacts and making consumer experience much better ahead.

15th World Education Summit – 2019 @ Mumbai

With great pride & honour, GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida is pleased to share that Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR was invited as a Key Speaker at 15th World Education Summit – 2019 held at Bombay Exhibition Centre, NESCO, Mumbai, Maharashtra on November 21-22, 2019.

The session began on an auspicious note with the lighting of the lamp by the eminent dignitaries. The topic of the session was ‘Importance of Physical, Mental & Social Well Being of Teachers & Students’ in which key points like ‘Regular Physical Activity Has a Positive Influence on Teachers & Students’ Personality, Character and Self-Esteem’ & ‘How to Improve Teachers & Students’ Outcome While Educating Them Holistically’ were discussed.

While addressing the audience, Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR put forth his perspective and said that “students who pass out of college are considered as revenue generators or contributors to the economy which increases the stress level among them”.

Along with him, the session witnessed gathering of expert speakers with enriched knowledge and skills who extended the discussion and expressed their views on the topic. Overall, it was a highly engaging and motivating experience to cherish forever.

4th International Conference at GLBIMR (Technical Session)

GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida organized 4th International Conference on Management Practices for Sustainability: Innovations & Re-Engineering Perspectives on Saturday, November 16, 2019 in SBG Hall, Greater Noida campus under the pioneering leadership of Mr. Pankaj Agarwal, Vice Chairman, GL Bajaj Educational Institutions.

Plenary session was followed by three concurrent Technical Sessions for presentation of research papers of academicians and corporates. Research presentations during Technical Sessions unearthed a mine of knowledge for innovative business practices for business growth and sustainability. Dr. Abhishek Singh, Professor, Birla Institute of Technology Mesra, Noida Campus, Dr. (CA) Kirti Sharma, Assistant Professor, Great Lakes Institute of Management, Dr. Tarun Kumar Singhal, Professor, Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies & Dr. Kirti Priya Gupta, Professor, Symbiosis Centre for Management Studies were the technical chair for the three sessions. Dr. Kamal Gupta, Assistant Professor, ITS Engineering College, Ms. Komal Kapoor, Assistant Professor, IMSUC, Ghaziabad and Kanishka Gupta, Research Scholar, Amity University won the Best Paper Award respectively for each technical session. Finally, technical sessions concluded with the felicitation of paper presenters with presentation certificates. Carrying forth the legacy of culmination of academic excellence, corporate orientation and path breaking research initiatives in Management Education, ICMPS-2k19 was a great success and a grand academic extravaganza.

Debate Competition by The HR Club @ GLBIMR

The Human Resource Club – “Affinity” of GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida organized a “Debate Competition” on the theme “Is Social Sensitivity Diminishing in Human Personality?” on Thursday, November 07, 2019 in PGDM Auditorium for the students of PGDM Batch 2019-21. The objective of the debate competition was to enhance students intellectual ability, reasoning ability, quick thinking and confidence in putting their views on a topic. Through this competition, the students got the required exposure which would widen their perception and sharpen their critical and analytical thinking skills. The students participated in 2 teams – one ‘for’ and one ‘against’ the topic. Dr. Anu Thakur and Dr. Rajeev Mathew judged the participants on the basis of clarity of thoughts, use of arguments, use of examples, facts and communication skills. Best Team Award ‘For’ and ‘Against’ category was bagged by Ms. Sonal Pandey & Ms. Jahanvi. Ms. Pratiksha Bisht bagged First position in ‘For’ category and Mr. Alok & Ms. Soni won First position in ‘Against’ category.The event was coordinated by faculty coordinators – Prof. Dr. Alpana Agarwal and Prof. Arpana Kumari along with student coordinators – Ms. Sameeksha, Mr. Satyam Srivastav & Ms. Sakshi Singh.

Special Session by Ms. Urvi Agarwal & CA Ankur Agarwal @ GLBIMR

GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida organized a special session on “Investor Awareness Program: Money Management” on Friday, November 08, 2019 in PGDM Seminar Hall under the visionary guidance of Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR for the students of PGDM Batch 2019-21. The expert trainers for the event were Ms. Urvi Agarwal & CA Ankur Agarwal, SV Wealth Partners. Dr. Ajay Kumar, Director, GLBIMR discussed the importance of personal wealth management and investment for corporate as well as individuals. The objective of the session was to create financial awareness and empower the attendees to help manage money more effectively to achieve financial well being by ensuring access to appropriate financial products and services. In the session, Ms. Urvi Agarwal stated the fundamental issues related to investment and discussed about various investments, mergers in Indian companies, Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), Mutual Funds, Foreign Direct Investments, Stock Exchanges, Case Studies and corporate activities related to investment and money management.CA Ankur Agarwal discussed issues related to taxation and legal aspects of trading. He also elaborated about the personal finance and investor grievances management mechanism. The students asked their queries with the experts which enhanced their knowledge about money management.
Finally, the event concluded with Vote of Thanks presented by Prof. Saurabh Mittal, GLBIMR.

Microsoft Value Added Certification Course on Advance MS Excel.

GL Bajaj Institute of Management & Research, Greater Noida organized Microsoft Value Added Certification Course on Advance MS Excel by Mr. Bhanu P Singh, Director, Corporate Trainer & Management Consultant & Mr. Ajay Pandeya, Corporate Trainer from October 14 to October 25, 2019 in PGDM Auditorium, GLBIMR, Greater Noida campus. This Value Added Certification Course was intended to instill professional skills and abilities in students to work with MS Excel applications and tools which would make them industry ready and gain a competitive edge over other competitors in the market. GLBIMR students were really fortunate to get an opportunity to learn from the industry experts. They worked diligently to make the students aware about the various functional concepts of MS Excel. They learned each and every concept in an easy way with the help of the detailed study material provided to them. They were also able to learn the practical application of each and every tool in the current industry scenario. Overall, it was an enriching and a great learning experience for GLBIMR students.
